Graphite and watercolour on paper, 57 x 77 cm, July 2012
Sketched this using couple of reference photographs given by the client. In-progress photos shown below will explain the process. The second photo was used as reference for the smaller kid. Light and shade on him was re-imagined to match the rest of them. Hands and dresses were rendered in a more artistic than realistic way, using graphite lines and watercolour wash. Also, created a quick and easy process for rendering realistic looking wooden wall – the wood texture was quickly sketched using graphite, with watercolour wash over it.
