This was one of the serious realistic sketches I did after many years of inactivity. It is based on a set of photographs of a small girl, given to me by their parents, for sketching. I liked the innocent melancholic pose in one of the photos, and referred to some other photos for details. Rendered the hair such that there is an aura of natural light from behind the head. Finally added the blurred background to create sort of a bokeh effect. Graphite pencils were used to create this on a 12” x 17” Canson white paper. This work is framed and is with the kid’s parents.
